One great thing about being in Jerusalem, is that there are always things to go see...well so far. Even little things, that might not catch your eye usually come out to be kind of interesting. For example here at Zion Gate, as you can see it looks like there is a bad stone version wood pecker problem. When in reality, they're really bullet wholes. Mostly made in the battle of independence and/or the war of 64. From what I've been told, they were shot by the Israelites trying to re-capture the old city from the Palestinians in it. The cool part about the wall still standing strong is that it reminds of 2 Corinthians 4. When Paul is saying that they have been hurt and persecuted but still going strong, struck down but not conquered. No matter what happens or what we go through in this life, we know that still we are more then conquerers. Our goal is not in this world but the next. Eye's on the heavenlies, remembering always that in this world, it's nothing but fatalities. He's the focus and everything else is just blessings, the good and bad alike. Struck down, beat, whipped, or even killed...we are not destroyed but always from glory to glory growing in Him. Be fruitful in every situtation, and bless His name in words, actions, and thoughts. Be encouraged, nothing can seperate any of us from His love, and no matter how far we feel kicked away...He's always standing right there=].
