Under the Son

100_4070 100_4073100_4056 He is faithful over and over again! Wow I can’t even count how many times in Oki we would have something planned and then when the date of the plans was coming near, the weather would be terrible. Then all of a sudden through prayer and steps of faith God blessed us and made the weather perfect for the exact time it needed to be. This past Sunday we did a kids park event with the Asan church we get to help out at on Sunday afternoons. It was such a blessed time, Danny and Amanda led us in worship, then Amanda was able to teach through a big wordless book made of felt that she put together. Everything went so good, and everyone was blessed. It was so perfect too, because Saturday it was raining but continuing in faith knowing God had planned an outside water fun day, He worked it all out. It was a beautiful sunny day and all of us got to have such a wonderful time worshiping, playing games, and learning about Him under the Son. Thank you Lord=].

Manda and Dean Double team

100_4042 100_4030 100_4038 100_4032 100_4035  This week Dean and Amanda both had the opportunity to minister at the two Jinsoo Bible studies we have during the week. Dean was able to bless us in teaching the word through Luke 18 and Amanda was able to lead us in a worship song. They both did a great job! This was the first official message Dean has been able to teach, and no doubt God will continue to grow him and use him to teach more and more. Please continue to pray all of us serving the Lord out here that He will continue to bless us and equip us for His glory to others as well.

100_4022 100_4025

Now starting in the month of July we’re stepping out in a whole new voyage of faith here at CC Daejeon. Starting July 5th officially starting our morning English/Korean service, English kids Sunday school program, new time for our afternoon English service, and new worship with devotional night service. Pretty much now the Lord is opening doors to move from a one service Sunday to FOUR. It’s very excited to see the work He continues to due, and know He only has better and better things in store for His body here. Please continue to pray for the month of July plans here at CC Daejeon and the new missionaries (Iza Amargo and Jessie Spencer) that will joining Mike here as well.

Danguk University bible Study

100_4011 100_4019 100_4013Well after 3 months the time came for us to finish up the bible study at Danguk University for the end of the school year. It’s been such a blessing being able to be apart of the Lord’s work there at the university, and being able to see God grow His children more and and more as servants being skilled in His word and love.

Please continue to pray for the students that they would continue to serve the Lord with all their hearts, souls, and minds for His glory. Thank you Lord for the work you’ve done in and through your children, continue to grow them in your grace and love Abba Father we ask.In Jesus name we pray-Amen

Special Sunday

100_3980 100_3971 100_3975Usually on Sunday nights, Mike goes through the Epistle of 2 Peter. Here at CC Daejeon we’re mostly an English church with pretty much an all Korean congregation. The service are usually held all in English for different outreach and Korean benefit reasons, but these last couple Sunday’s Mike has done things a little different. Two weeks ago He taught with his wife translating and this last week we watched a Prophecy film with Korean subtitles. It went really good and now with July coming up we’re looking forward to opening a new English Sunday Morning service with Korean translation. It’s so sweet watching the work God continues to do in and through this place. Please pray that God will open doors for a new building as the room just continues to get smaller and smaller, for the other new interns coming in later next month, and also for the new things God has prepared/continues to prepare for the month of July here at CC Daejoen.

out and about

100_3992 100_3994 100_4004 100_4006

Being here in Korea, there’s been two things that I’ve been wanting to do but haven’t got the chance to. Number one go exploring through the trails of some hills behind where we live, and number two go check out the building near our house that has a weird green room on top. I told Dean about this adventure plan and then the next night we had free we did them both. It was fun on one of the free Monday nights we’ve had we ended up hiking at night the scary hill trails behind us(don’t worry it was safe) and went up the 20th story building to find the mystery of the green room. The trails were fun to hike up and down, not really knowing where we would exactly end up but just knowing the general direction, singing songs all around. The building was sweet and the mystery of the green room ended up just being a multi-business’ building with a big glass empty room on top lit up with big green flood lights. It was kind of cool and we were able to get a great view from the city up there. We also played at the park nearby seeing who was heavier ‘Manda or Dean but that’s another story…look at the pik.

Free Samples

IMG_1700

After one of the classes that we get to help on Tuesday night’s we decided to go shopping at a flee market nearby. While we were walking by we found a man selling watermelons with one half way cut up and ready for samples. We gave them that yummmmmm look and kept walking, when all of a sudden the man called us and gave us the whole watermelon for free!!!! MMMMMMMM…Dean went cavemen and broke it into a couple pieces by banging the watermelon against a rock, but it worked perfectly. We all were able to grub on the best free sample ever and enjoy a sugar rush on our walk home.

Piano Recital

100_3964 100_3942

About a week ago Saturday, Hye-Young was blessed with some piano recital tickets to go watch a four fingered pianist. So we dressed up a little and went to go watch. The pianist was a 23 year old handicap girl who through a lot of commitment and prayer was able to learn how to play the piano even in the midst of her circumstances. It was fun being able to spend time with out brothers and sisters in the Lord and also being able to see a blessed girl going all out in her talent given by God.

kid TIME

100_3936  100_3933 100_3935 100_3934

Saturday Mornings we’ve been able to continue ministry at the city orphanage here in Daejeon. With Amanda and Dean here we’ve split it up into groups. The first teaches an English class to the older Orphanage and the second group plays outside with the kids. As a total we spend about 2 hours there every week so after the first hour we the groups switch and continue ministering to the kids in Jesus name. It’s been a lot of fun being able minister there truly a blessing. It’s really funny too seeing Amanda and Dean trying to communicate with the temptation to speak Japanese to the kids look on their face...it’s harder then it sounds not to mix up the habit of speaking languages, but really funny to watch.

Swing Batter bATTER

Batting cages are so addicting, but even more so when they’re cheap! Here in Korea they charge only 1000 won (a little less then 1  US dollar) for a round of about 15 hits or so. So after chubbing down and getting more then our fill on a fried pork Korean meal with an ice-cream desert ofcoarse, we decided to go to go work off the meal with a couple rounds. None of us were that good, but still it was a lot of fun going a few rounds, and laughing at each other having fun just playing the game(not baseball…a point game we made in the cages).=]

Today we had the Satisfy Concert at Danguk University! It was a great time in worshiping the Lord and planting seeds for His glory. Daniel and Amanda both led us in worship; and Daniel and I also got to share His word. It was a beautiful time playing at the concert hall, in the middle of a miniature park; beautiful place, beautiful worship, all for our beautiful Lord. Thank you so much for your prayers, we covet them dearly. God truly blessed us today in just being able to serve Him in His work. He was faithful and did everything according to as He desired. It was truly blessed time. Thank You so much again for your prayers, God bless you guys!

Today after the Thursday night bible study, Ms. Gloria (one of the ladies from the congregation, in who’s house Amanda is staying at temporarily) had us over for a Korean style Dinner. it was a last minute thing but Dinner was prepared and served in minutes time. She made a whole feast in less then i think 45 minutes, an hour. It was really fast, and cool to see everyone serving one another to get things ready. Afterwards we had fruit desert, played games, and continued to enjoy fellowship in HIs name. It was a blessed time, thank You again Mrs.. Gloria.

Today we were able to just spend time worshiping the Lord. Preparing for the things ahead this week and just having extra time, we got a jam session going. Dean busted out a harmonica, jumped on the box and is starting to grow in the gift of playing, and Amanda rocked out on some songs. It was a really cool time of just jamming out the for the Lord. For those of you who don’t know Dean and Amanda, they’re here for the summer as missionaries from CC Okinawa. So for the month of June God has brought for us here, and in July there will be a total of 6 Lord willing. He continues to do a work here in this peninsula and no doubt is preparing a work for His harvest. We know working in Him no matter what there’s only one thing, Dean’s harmonica says it best, Victory=].

He Continues

SATISFY(5th)A4size SATISFY(4th)

God continues to work more and more, it’s amazing. A couple of weeks ago we were planning to have a concert outreach at the Danguk University(the university we are able to teach on Wednesday Nights) Festival. The Lord closed the doors; but through it, stirred up His people to get another going. So now officially this Friday, June 5th at 11:30 a.m., UBF…University Bible Fellowship…is hosting Satisfy! Please pray for us, as it is a big step of faith for the location we are playing at that He will bless it; and that He will draw His people in from all the corners of the campus and bring them to do nothing else but come to His beautiful everlasting love.

Arrived

100_3887 100_3886

Okay well they’ve arrived safe, and………sound?.No I’m just kidding, the group has arrived and looks great. I can really only speak for Dean since I haven’t seen Amanda yet, but for those of you out there wondering, they’ve both arrived with no noted problems. Praise the Lord! I’ll put up another post tomorrow when we can get a whole group photo=].
