After we finished up our last morning discipleship course in the morning/afternoon time...we continued to study on location and went to 2 out of the 3 towns Jesus cursed to rubble in Matthew Chapter 11. The 3 cities were Capernaum, Bethseida, and Chorazin. We technically went to all three, but only entered into two of them, Capernaum and Chorazin. It was fun visiting Capernaum again, but it was really interesting seeing the ruins of Chorazin. We were able to walk around the town, and look at all the different building structures they did and see the carvings they had. The most interesting to note, was again for me the synagogue. In this one in particular, we were able to step into not just a synagogue with just the original foundation (as in Capernaum) but step into the original actual building as well. Now the most interesting part about that, was seeing the carvings of the mythological gods they had in their synagogue during that time. Makes the events all throughout the gospels come more into light, seeing the seriousness of why the religious leaders were called hypocrites, so severely and often.
Saying Send me (Isa.6:8) in word and in action. Doing it untill He's finished (Isa.6:11) & all through Him (Matt.28:18-20)
