Ancient Galilea Boat

We have now, officiallly started, our discipleship class. On our now first session, Pastor Drew took us to the "Jesus Boat". It's a boat found during a Galilea drought, that was dated to be in the time of Jesus. Now of course, there is no proof of the boat ever even being close to Jesus. It was though, the type that was around in His time, while He was here physically on earth. We didn't actually go in, but looked around enough, and then got to the good stuff...digging into His word. Pastor Drew took us to a "deserted" place outside, and shared with us out of Matthew 4, where Jesus first called His disciples. It was a beautiful view of the sea, being right up close, but even better was being shared the reminder...He said, "follow Me." It's not Him telling us, "Can I follow you,"nor, "Can I be your co-pilot." No, it was "follow Me." How many times do we all need to be reminded of that. Our walk, isn't going with Him and giving Him pointers on how to do things but just following Him obediently, no if ands or buts.
