Nazereth Village

Being with these guys, that have traveled to Israel many times, and seen so many of the things here a numerable amount of times. It brings an excitement with they say with truthfulness..."Wow, this is really one of my favorite places. Wait 'till you see this one." When these guys say that, you know it's a sweet place, and Nazereth Village was one of those places. It's a complete reinactment of the original Jesus time city of Nazereth. They made all the houses, vineyards, farms, threshing floors, olive presses, winery, synogogues, and whatever else I might be forgeting. It was just really an awesome time of getting a real life picture, of what the city would of looked like. It was sweet being able to see how the people live, survived, and cultivated. It really brought to perspective parables and illustration of farming, it brought to life the comparison we see between olive pressing and Jesus' pressing at the garden of Gethsemane, the threshing wheat examples we see of sin throughout the bible, and many many more. It was a total blessing and awesome to learn more about the people He was raised with, people He ministered to, and a reminder of how to simply teach the bible simply.
