*Prayer Request*-Sammy

Two Sunday Nights ago Pastor Mike was teaching out of Acts chapter 5:12-16. One of his key points was on how God heals through faith. Really quick let me explain, no doubt do all of us agree that the Lord can heal, no doubt do we all agree that He can still heal today, but the doubt kicks in whether He will heal. All of us believe that He can but we don't stand up in faith and say He will. Pastor Mike was explaining on the subject of how many of the people were healed in peculiar ways. through circumstances that to us seem kind of weird. Now some people argue on this verse but it says that the people came to be healed "that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them," then later it says concerning the passage, "...and all were healed." Also in Acts chapter 19:11 we're told that "so even the handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them." Now if healings by handkerchiefs and shadows aren't peculiar ways and weird circumstances I don't know what is. Now lets face the facts it wasn't Peter's shadow nor Paul's sweat/nose rag that has special power but it was just the Lord's healing hand working through them. Why did He choose to do this though why would He honor healing through objects like these, like we saw it wasn't because the objects. It's because God was honoring the faith of the people. Now that's either the person doing the healing or being healed. As we see through the gospels Jesus healed those who did and didn't ask to be healed a like. For example He healed people off the streets but also people were healed by just coming in faith touching His garments. As Mike was sharing with us, sometimes people do have the faith that He will heal them, but they release it in a peculiar way. Like we already spoke about, having the faith but releasing it by touching the hem of His garments(Matt.9:20/14:36). Alright well let me get to my point, honestly this message stirred my soul up a lot for my little brother. as many of you know Samuel has now been sick over a year and half wit ITP. Now if that's the correct name I don't know but it's a blood disease that kills off his platelets. He's been on various medications, surgery, and other treatments but is still facing the same results and now even getting worst. The next step now since the treatments that seemed were helping are failing is to change to stronger more for adult medicines. The bottom line though is I know God wants, can, and will heal this little boy. I wanted to ask though for prayer, I know God wants to heal and I know He will but I want to ask that you join him(Sammy)in prayer. He says that which we ask in His name he will do to bring glory to the Father(John 14.13-14) Lord we ask heal Samuel through your great power, we ask in Jesus Christ's wonderful name-Amen.

Read Mark 5:21-43.
That woman had her blood disease for 12 years, and it wasn't her touching Jesus that made her well, it was her faith in knowing that He WILL make her well (v34). I have faith that God WILL heal him. So keep enduring in faith and in prayer sosi. -phil. 4:6-7
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen. -Hebrews 11:1

I believe it's not a question of IF, but WHEN the Lord will heal Samuel. As we all continue to pray for God's will, "Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might." Eph 6:10
