Official CHUBZ..."commissioner gordon"

Alright so Thursday night was our last night with our new brother Eugene. Eugene has been our translator, tour guide, and good buddy here in Korea this whole month we've been here. Sadly, he has to go back to Busan where he attends school. So since Thursday night was going to be the last night we would be able to see him for a while...we went for a night on the town. We became official ChUBZ by finding a grand opening 5 dollar sale at a new (very good food) Korean Buffet, went to our own personal DVD movie theater room (they rent out rooms set them all up inside and let you pick from a big selection of DVDs), and at the end of the night ended it with a brother fellowship back at the apartment. Eugene! we will miss you buddy, God bless and Lord willing we'll see you soon.

Pink Panther where are You...lol

So when it's to far to drive your chevro-legs and there's no pink panther to slowly take you around what do you do? That's right jump on the express bus. After the new study transportation back to the house is very limited, it's either the bus or the train. They decided to put me on the bus...it was actually pretty fun. They have expresses buses here from city to city here not just street stop to street stop. I've actually been really impressed with their public transportation, really easy and fast. The only warning given though was don't fall asleep on the bus or you'll miss the stop, didn't really give it a second thought though until the inside bus lights when off and the bumps on the road felt like a cradle. Praise the Lord I dosed off only for a second, He got me awake and home safely in only a little over an hour. Lord help me not to ever fall asleep and miss the stop-Amen=].

New study...new step of faith...new prayer request=]

Today we got started in a new bible study at Pastor John's church in University Village, Cheonan. It's purposed more for the university students around the school(FYI there is four universities around the school, henceforth there nickname University Village), but we it was a blessing have everyone there from kids to older adults. Please pray for the work God wants to do through this study as we take this step of faith. We will be going through the book of Genesis here too, but in a more detailed study. Pray that the Holy Spirit would just fall on His children and empower them to reach their schools, communities, country, and world for the name of Jesus Christ.

Sam Ke Tang...0=/Meet Pastor John

Let me introduce you to Pastor John, before the study we were able to go and enjoy yet another new Korean dish. Just when I thought I've had them all, John gets Sam Ke Tang. IT WAS GOOD...it's a pretty much a whole little chicken, boiled into a soup, and stuffed with rice. It might not look that good in the pictures but it was=). It was a really good time though learning about Pastor John, he's been a pastor since 1985 and has written 4 Korean commentaries on 5 books of the bible. He wants to write a commentary on all of the44 books of the bible and has come to the Korean School of Ministry to grow in the knowledge of His word and learn more to glorify God in the writing gifts God has given him.

Sleigh Bummer

Well when I saw this I was first really excited, for those of you who don't know this a fake snow mountain hill thing. I remember going to one of these in Jr. High at Big Bear Mountain. It was a such a blast going doing the hill in donut tubes, sleighs, and grubbing on some corn dogs freezing my hands off(yes I remember the corn dogs). So when I saw this right away I was hoping it was something we could come back to and do all together, but it was closed due to low interests. O well made my day sweeter thinking of that corn dog though...lol.

memories of the flightline

It was kind of cool, this King Tedo has a really sweet place name after him. Other then the kids thing, hike trail, and sweet scenery they had some actual war stuff on display. They had planes, artilary, and war vehicles actually used during the Korean. It was sweet getting up close and touching them, seeing how thick the metal really was, and thinking man waking up in the morning with this coming at you would be a pretty scary sight. It was a big reminder of the Futenma flight line though, except the tank that was new and kind of scary[=.

Street lights in the park

Alright so here in Korea they make sure their drivers do atleast this one thing right...learn how to read the signs. It was kind of funny seeing street lights and road signs in a park but worth taking a picture of none-the-less. It's a kids learning center. I guess the kids come here and have fun learning what to notice on the road in a simulated session. Man all I had was a paper full of pictures, a chewed on pencil, and directions saying connect the pictures with the definitions...maybe now ill learn all my sign...j/k...lol.

Adventures with Pastor John...te-do san

Alright so today Pastor John gave a lil tour of some of the famous places in Cheonan. This is Te Do San...when translated mean Te-Do Mountain. Te-DO was an early Korean king who when he climb this mountain something happened and I think found clarity or something like that, didnt really catch it but it was a nice hike. We didn't go all the way to the top because of lack of time, but it was great to be able to just walk around and admiring His creation before teaching on it. God is good.=^]

School In Session...kind of for us too

Alright so today was in reality the first non-introduction biblical preaching class, at the school of ministry. Daniel and I will actually be taking this class...partially. We're going to be able to take part in the presentations and assignments for the preaching part of the class but the other we'll be sitting out. It is fun though to be half way in class again. Our first preaching assignments I believe are due next week so we have some work to do=].

Tank is full=^0

Okay well today was a blessed lunch. Pastor Sam and his wife(his church is the one we're able to go run the kids club at) took us out to have one of our favorite meals...king galbi tang. Its a really good soup! It's translation is literally rib soup, so enough said its really good. Especially when you mix in your rice and soy sauce wasabi thing in it...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm=]. Pastor Sam and his wife are a really great couple, we had a really good time over a yummy lunch. They also gave us a special homemade Korean pickled cabbage snack in a jar, it's really good. God provided a little something to hit the spot when we get a cabbage crave....praise the Lord...I can feel healthy again=].

Jam Packed...lol...M.E.L.T. joke

Man today I believe we only had about 4 seats empty at M.E.L.T. God is growing us there and and soon some new seating arrangements will have to be set up. It's really cool too because now that college is starting up again we're hoping to get even more growth and hopefully find a way on to a campus and start a M.E.L.T. there as well. God is doing a great work here and no doubt will continue to do so. Thank you guys for your prayers=]...and thanks Pastor Tim for helping us get it started out here brada.

Double Time

Alright so Sunday mornings at Calvary Chapel Cheonan we have a started a new kids program. This is different then the kids club held at a different church. There really hasn't been established an actual kids service at CC Cheonan so were taking that step of faith. The kids range from toddlers to upper Elementary students so it's definetely going to be a little tough, but we know that no doubt with the Lord there and working it will all turn out great.

Faithful again and Again=]

Man God just continues to bless us more and more. Now in this circumstance we can mention two things. Number 1 is obvious, God blessed us with snow! It's been really cold out here so we've been praying that if we have to deal with the temperature that the Lord would bless us with some fun in the snow=]...He did! Thursday afternoon we looked outside and there it was, white flakes floating down to the ground. Now it wasn't cold enough for it to really stick but the Lord did bless us and we had a little fun in the snow...Ill save that for another though. Now the number two, God is blessing us definitely in ministering to the ones He brings to the studies. It's evident that the Holy Spirit is doing a work and we're blessed to be able to witness it. Please pray though as school is starting and a handful of the students will be leaving to go to a university and or will be getting really caught up in their studies. Pray that God will continue to do His will in there live but most of all that they would listen to Him and obey His Word.

School Of Ministry Korea!

School of ministry has now begun. It started off, well at least for us, this last Wednesday. Mike is only teaching there once a week so that means the only time we will be at the School of Ministry is on Wednesdays. Definitely though God is doing and will continue to do a great work raising up these men to simply Go and preach His word simply. I know that we might be sitting in on some classes but for the first week we had other obligations to take care of. We are excited though to see what else God is going to be doing in and through this ministry at the School of Ministry Korea. If you are want to know more check them out at http://www.koreansom.kr/

Still Going and Still Praying

Today we had our second session of M.E.L.T. Please continue to pray for next week as we will be moving into two sessions a day. We will be having one session from 12:00-12:00 and the second 1:00-1:50. God is definitely doing a great work through this ministry as it not only continues to have new faces but God is continuing to make new hearts. He's blessing us with times to not only minister during M.E.L.T. but after as well; through games, going out, and one on one powered by the Holy Spirit talking. God has been moving through the students more and more bringing them to ask questions about Him and bringing them to come know Him as their own personal Lord and Savior=^]. Please pray for the open doors God is making out here. Please continue to pray for eyes opening, walls falling, and hearts turning to Him in the lives of His loved creations.
