Movie Day...sort of

Two times a week, we get the opportunity to help out with two different kids groups, Thursday and Tuesday afternoons. Today we had a special day...MOVIE DAY! Okay well it wasn't exactly a movie but they watched Mickey's Clubhouse. We did have popcorn though, so it made up for it. For the most part, the kids really seemed to enjoy themselves. We are praying that through this weekly witness the kids and their parents would come to know the Lord. This time, Mickey stuff...next time we'll see what the Lord has.

Osaka Overview...Praise Yahweh=^]

Back in Korea safe and sound, thank you again for all your prayers. Even though it was a short trip God revealed Himself a lot. It was really cool, but for those of you who don't know tomorrow is the 90th day being out here in South Korea. So that means that both me and Daniel have to leave the country for a re-entry visa stamp. Daniel leaves tomorrow to Okinawa for a 9 day ministry concert trip...he'll share more on his blog soon (sedota.blogspot.com), but with me I had to leave the country yesterday(since that was the best day that fit in our weekly schedules). Originally I was going to go to Fukuoka on a ferry but last minute it ended up a flight to Osaka would save more money so off I went. It was planned to be a quick go and come back trip but with a five hour gap... but couldn't resist an opportunity to see the city. Osaka has been on my mish list for a while now, and it was going to be a step of faith to travel into the city and get back to the airport (50 minute bus ride away) back in time for the return flight. The Lord though was so good, I left Monday morning and Sunday night I got a hold of Melissa and was able to make plans to meet and hang out. When i arrived at the terminal in Osaka she was not to be found, or at least I thought. After some time of being tempted to just say she couldn't make it and just go out on my own...Lord lead and after checking out the next exit over in the terminal...TADA there she was, she even brought our Japanese sister along and she translated. It was a sweet time...really fast but sweet. God worked it all out for a good lunch as you've seen earlier and sweet goodiez. I left to the airport thinking i might not make it in time seeing how I was only going to be one hour early and BAM I got there with fifteen minutes to spare. God even gave me some sweet deals on last minute gifts at the terminal. Praise the Lord, It was really a great trip seeing the Lord bless all the steps whether small or big, doubt or not. It's always a great reminder of how Great and Big our God is. He not only cares about the big things but shows even more love and takes care of the smallest things as well. The greatest part is we don't deserve any of it. He's so awesome...He's given us Himself on the cross and even if He never did anything else in our lives He would still be worthy of all our praise. He's so great and no matter what we do or where we go nor what happens we can always remember that He's there with us all the way and everything will always be okay because He takes care of us His children, and we can by grace boldly always call upon His name...Psalm 139 Acts 8:28

OSAKA PIKs

Here's some piks of the trip. Didn't really get to see to much of the city but still it was good enough. Sorry I didn't get a lot pictures but still hope you enjoy. I got to meet up with Melissa and another sister named Shoko from the church Melissa is now serving at. If you don't know Melissa, she's a really cool sister that served along side in Okinawa with the Ginowan Church for about a month or so I think. Her sister Christina is still there serving now but Mellissa is now a missionary in Osaka. It was a blessing to meet up and fellowship in Him, even if it was all last minute.

Osaka...MMMMMM=]

What better way to introduce the trip update then by first talking about the food=]....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Well as you can see even with only pretty much an hour and twenty minutes to spare in Osaka plus 2 hours of traveling to and from the airport there was still enough time for goodiez. Okay well I'll explain all the travel info in the next blog but first check out all the sweet stuff. We ended up having for lunch some sweet Omuraisu, the girls got some spaghetti one and I got a tasty pork cutlet one...MMMMMM=]. Well if you don't know what Omuraisu is, it's buttered rice wrapped in an egg omelet thing and then with goodies on top(at least the ones we had today came with buttered rice), either way they're cho oishii. The girls got some extra chocolate crepes, really popular in Osaka I heard, and I got some Osaka sold only famous CANDY ICE. It was a milk ice cream bar that was delicious...the stick tasted so good after too=]. Last but not least, in precaution to not get sick, right before the last flight a c1000 vitamin c shot drink was the Japanese treat cherry on top. Blessings from the Lord!

KONKOKURZ

Alright well I saw this sign and couldn't help but remember Tommy..."KONKOKURZZZ"...lol. Well I'm about to board in about 2 minutes and I'm anxious to go and see Osaka. I've been wanting to go for a long time and now I get to. Please pray that while I'm in the city that I will be able to catch all the right buses to get to and from the airport in time for my flight. Alright well updates will come soon please pray that God will continue to work it all out=].

JAPAN HERE I COME!!!

ANd in 5 hours I will leave again...hee hee=]. Tommorrow I leave for a one day Visa trip to Osaka, Japan. I'll be there with a five hour layover, I guess you can say, then catch my return flight back...so pray for a safe traveling day=]. It's already been almost 3 months so I need to leave the country to get a new visa stamp. God continues to do a wonderful work here in South Korea, please pray that God will continue to lead and give vision for the things He desires to do. Really hoping that in this short vacation God will just show His glory and allow clear vision to be seen on the upcoming events that we're planning and those that have not yet been revealed for the time being and for the future.

UNO!

Everything really continues to go good here at the Saturday afternoon Orphanage English study. One thing to note though, is here, unlike the states, Saturday school isn't a discipline day but regular school day...EEEKKKK! The good news is that they only make it mandatory to come half day...still I know EEEKKKK!!! So after they go to Saturday School we meet the kids and give them yet another class. Still, even after all that work the students still really seem to enjoy the our English class, even though they complain most of the class they still come back voluntarily every week. It's been really cool being able to get in a closer friendship level with these guys, even through silly games like UNO!(and yes we know it's using Spanish in an English class but it's still fun). It's really different from the other ministries because these guys aren't coming for church nor are we pushing church really hardcore but just showing them the Love Christ offers. It's been a blessing to see them changing little by little, continue to pray please that by the time we leave every single one of these guys and gals would come to know personally their Savior Jesus Christ.

Sunday Afternoon Kid's English Club

Sunday afternoons after the morning service at Calvary Chapel Cheoneon we usually split up to do English bible studies at two of the local churches. This week Rusty and Meagan were able to come along to Pastor Sam's church(one of the graduates from Korean School of Ministry). Meagan was able to teach the first service to the younger children reminding them how much love God has for them and will always have for them as a shepherd leaving 99 behind to find that one lost of his flock. She did a great job and the children were blessed. We also played Mr. Wolf Samurai style and had fun tagging the kids out by using foam padded swords. After Rusty was able to teach the youth group in a second servic e about humility through the example of John the Baptist. Rusty rocked it and it was a blessed time in the word. We also had a blessed time answering questions on the truth in the word afterwards with the kids in every youth an answer. Ofcoarse though since pastor Sam is a sword fighting teacher throughout the week, all profits go to support missionaries worldwide, we got mess around with the equipment. It was definitely fun and yes that coffee ice-cream was good, hope you enjoy the video.

OUTREACH at the Park

Well first and foremost thank you to all you who were praying for the outreach this last Saturday, the Lord definitely answered. It was a beautiful night of witnessing and worshipping the Lord. Truly the Lord drew in His and brought them into His kingdom. All the worship teams were amazing and the Tommy Praise duo were definetely used by His spirit in message. Honestly I had some doubts of a good turn out without having sound equipment(due to park rules) but man the Holy Spirit is louder then any system. After a couple hours of going around we all seemed to just come together at the right time without even scheduling it to just sit at His feet with our new brothers and sister in the Lord and just worship Him. It was defintely a Spirit filled night. Thank You Lord for you work, grow your children strong as those trees planted by rivers of water. Continue Your work Abba father we ask in Jesus name-Amen

Korean Bus Ride

Okay well even with the new van we still topped out at driving room for 24 people. So seeing that we had a really good amount of people after the Saturday bible study and still needed to take the guitars and cajon to the park in van, most of us jumped on a bus and went for a ride. We only rode for about fifteen minustes from the church to the park outreach near by our house, but it was still sweet. The bus rides here in Korea are always really bumpy and rough. So to take greater advantage of the ride they surf the buses seeing who can withstand the stops, goes, and turns of the bus using nothing but pure balance. It's harder then it seems, but was still really fun=].

Saturday Breakfast Bible Study

This last Saturday, we were able to enjoy a fun time together in Him. Every Saturday we're able to have a good american style breakfast together as a body at the church. Then after we grub down and also sing in worship we split up into the studies. The girls go up to Mike's house with hye-Young and the boyz stay at the church with Danny. This week though since the team was here they were able to bless us in a great time of ministering; Ina led the worship, Amber taught the ladies, and Eder taught the boyz. It was a great morning and fun way to start off the day.

DA NEW VAN

Mike use to have a Samsung SM5, it's this really sweet sedan, but recently he just traded it in for the KIA GRAND CARNIVAL! The church has been growing and God had continued to open doors for us to go and hang out in great fellowship together. So to make us less reliable on public transportation and make it easier in commuting big groups Mike made the decision. It's a really nice van and has everything we needed...believe it or not it's a twelve seater. It came just in time for the time in Oki to cruise around in style and comfort, seeing with the rental they/we were blessed with two sweet 12 passenger vans...PRAISE THE LORD=]

!Happy RESURRECTION Day!

Today is such a great day! Today of coarse we remember the beauty of our Lord, in that even through death He shined His greatness to make eternal life through Him possible for all for us who believe. Since we don't have a morning service here in CC Daejeon yet we had to have our Resurrection day service at night. It was a great time of learning the truth, facts, and importance of our Lord's Resurrection through the 4 different gospel accounts and through 1 Corinthians 15. Pastor Mike did a great job of teaching that Christ died to; prove He was who He said He was, to show He has power over death, and to give us all that Eternity to look forward to through Him. After, as Wiersbe exhorts, he pulled in the nets and gave an altar call. This is the first one we've had a CC Daejeon and it's awesome to see the Lord continuing His work in the hearts and lives of His children here. We ended the night with and after glow and left praising Him. Lord we thank you for Your death and RESURRECTION. You are awesome and Holy and no compares to You. Continue to bless and grow those you brought to You tonight and shine Your light through them. in Jesus name-Amen.

Cherry Blossom SNOW

So about a year ago was the second time we had made a trip out here to South Korea. How do I know? Because last year when we came, we came just in time to experience the beautiful Cherry Blossom Festival. This year sadly the team will be missing it, but we didn't. Yesterday we took a trip up to Kierry Tan(I think that's what it was) where the Cherry Blossom Festival was being held and had some fun in the look like snow scenery of falling Cherry Blossom leaves. It was a lot of fun; we had lunch out there, then a beautiful time in worshiping the Lord, did a little devotional remembering how the flowers neither spin nor toil but the Lord takes care of all their needs...even more so He'll take care of us, we also ate some yummiest, shopped around, took pictures, and played some of the games. Don't worry though Oki team there should be some blossoms still left when you guys arrive=].
